Afghanistan’s President leaves the Country in Crisis

Taliban fighters entered Afghanistan’s capital – Kabul on Sunday and swept into the presidential palace. As the western-backed government collapsed, the embattled President, Ashraf Ghani fled the country along with National Security Adviser Hamdullah Muhib. A desperate exodus broke at the airport with thousands demanding to board flights. The President leaving the people of Afghanistan in mess and misery was exposed to judgment on Twitter and news. In the following post on his Facebook page, Ghani released an official statement saying, “To avoid bloodshed, I thought it would be better to leave”. Further, he has left it on the political leadership of the country to solve the current ordeal.
